You will be supporting staff in the operation of Herts Young Mariners Base; developing your expertise in a variety of Outdoor Adventurous Activities. You will be assisting in the training and development of young people, whilst studying the theory behind a variety of National Governing Body Awards to enable you to achieve coaching qualification(s) in Outdoor and Adventurous Activities.
Under the guidance of experienced staff, your duties will include risk assessments, contributing to staff meetings and ensure that written reports on the progress of specific areas of work are provided. You will have a national governing body proficiency qualification (e.g. Level 1 or 1 Star) in at least one of the following; canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing or climbing, and experience in other areas.
