22 M, seeking to sail to Spain in January/ February

Hello. I'm a 22 year old male with no sailing experience. I am however, an experienced rigger through a long rock climbing background. I'm going to ride my bicycle across Spain and Morrocco this winter, after I finish college. A sailing friend told me about working on a crew. I believe this would be an excellent adventure: I'm familiar with rough work and adverse conditions. Ideally we would embark in the Eastern US, but I'm willing to travel. I'm also kicking around the idea of filming a short documentary about the trip.
